About Retro Bowl
Retro Bowl combines American football with the decisions of a coach and team manager. The career happens between games as well as on the field: you organise a roster, consider player condition and then use the offense to move the ball. The pixel graphics keep the field readable, but winning a drive still depends on choosing a useful play.
### Read the receiver before releasing the ball
A pass needs a target and a safe route to that target. Watch where a receiver is going and where the nearby defender can reach, rather than aiming only at the receiver’s current position. A short completion can keep a drive alive when a longer throw would carry more risk.
The useful question after a turnover is specific: did you release too late, choose a covered receiver or misjudge the landing point? Changing the answer to one of those questions gives the next attempt a purpose.
### Build a team around the problem you have
Do not spend every resource simply because a recruitment or upgrade option is available. Look at why the last match was difficult. A passing problem, a player-condition problem and a weak overall roster call for different decisions. Compare the benefit of an available change with the resources it leaves for the next week.
### Know which Retro Bowl you are playing
This player uses a classic browser build of Retro Bowl. It is separate from Retro Bowl College and the NFL-branded releases, so their modes, rosters and release-specific features should not be assumed here. Follow the menus inside this build for the options it actually includes.
