About Drop & Merge 2048

Drop & Merge 2048 combines numbered merges with a falling-block board. Move a cube between five lanes, choose where to drop it and bring matching values together to make a larger number. The pressure comes from the rising stack: the board must remain usable as new cubes arrive.

Choose the lane before speeding up

Check the top cube in each lane and look for a matching value. Accelerating the fall or using an instant drop commits your choice more quickly, so make sure the lane is right before using those controls.

Keep a second option open

A chain reaction can create room, but a lane with too many incompatible values can become hard to rescue. Look at how the board will change after a merge and avoid raising every lane at once. Use the first rounds to learn the merge behaviour rather than focusing only on a large number.
