Ludo Multiplayer brings the classic family board game of strategy and luck to your screen. This unblocked game allows you to play against computer-controlled opponents or challenge up to three friends in local multiplayer. It is a faithful and fun adaptation of the beloved race-to-the-finish game.
The gameplay of Ludo Multiplayer perfectly mirrors the rules of the classic board game. Each player has four tokens and must race them from their starting yard, around the entire board, and into their home column. The key strategy revolves around risk management. Do you use your high roll to race a single token far ahead, or do you use it to bring a new token into play from your yard? There is also a ‘take-that’ element, as landing on the same space as an opponent’s token sends it back to their yard. This strategic decision-making, combined with the luck of the dice, makes it a different kind of challenge from a pure skill game like Tower Of Destiny.
Choose to play against AI or with friends. Each player takes a turn rolling the dice by clicking on it. You need to roll a six to move a token out of your starting yard and onto the board. Click on a token to move it the number of spaces shown on the dice. The first player to get all four of their tokens into their home triangle wins.
Try to create ‘blockades’ by placing two of your tokens on the same safe ‘star’ space. This prevents any player, including yourself, from passing until you move one of them. Do not be afraid to be aggressive and send opponents’ tokens home if you have the chance. Spreading your tokens out is often safer than having them all clustered together.
Use the mouse to play. Click the dice to roll it, and click the token you wish to move.
The ‘Multiplayer’ in the title usually refers to local multiplayer, meaning you can play with friends on the same computer, with each person taking a turn. Some versions may offer online matchmaking as well.
The colored spaces with stars on them are ‘safe’ spaces. If your token is on a safe space, it cannot be captured and sent back to the start by an opponent. However, safe spaces do not protect you from your own blockades.
While the dice rolls are random, there is a significant amount of strategy involved. Knowing which token to move, when to be aggressive, and when to play defensively is what separates a good Ludo player from a novice.
