Among Us is the massively popular online multiplayer game of social deduction. This unblocked game places you and a group of other players on a spaceship, but one or more of you are impostors bent on eliminating everyone else. It is a thrilling game of deception, accusation, and survival where trusting the wrong person can be a fatal mistake.
The gameplay of Among Us is split into two distinct roles: Crewmate and Impostor. As a Crewmate, your goal is to complete a series of simple tasks around the map or to successfully identify and vote out all the Impostors. As an Impostor, your goal is to sabotage the ship and secretly eliminate the Crewmates until you have the majority. The key to the game is communication and deception. During emergency meetings, players must discuss who they think is suspicious. A good Impostor can lie convincingly and turn the Crewmates against each other. This social deduction gameplay is a completely different experience from the solo idle fun of Cookie Clicker.
If you are a Crewmate, walk around the map and complete your assigned tasks. If you find a body, report it to call a meeting. During meetings, discuss who you suspect and vote to eject someone. If you are an Impostor, pretend to do tasks, use vents to move around secretly, sabotage parts of the ship, and eliminate Crewmates when no one is watching.
As a Crewmate, always be aware of who is around you. If you see someone run away from a body, they are very suspicious. As an Impostor, a good strategy is to gain another player’s trust by ‘vouching’ for them, and then betraying them later. Do not kill in crowded areas.
Use WASD or the mouse to move. Use the mouse to interact with tasks, report bodies, and vote during meetings. Use specific keys for Impostor abilities like sabotage and kill.
It is one of the best games to play with friends. Playing with a group of people you know, especially while using voice chat, elevates the game to a new level of hilarious arguments, clever bluffs, and shocking betrayals.
‘Sus’ is a slang term that became extremely popular because of this game. It is short for ‘suspicious’ and is used to describe a player who is acting like they might be the Impostor.
The Crewmates win in one of two ways: either by completing all of their assigned tasks before the Impostors can eliminate enough of them, or by successfully identifying and voting to eject all of the Impostors from the ship.
