The gameplay of 12 Minibattles is a rapid-fire competition. The game will randomly select one of its 12 minigames, which can be anything from a wild west shootout to a game of axe throwing or soccer. Each game is controlled by a single button per player. The key strategy is to quickly understand the objective of the current minigame and react faster than your opponent. The constant switching between different challenges keeps the game fresh and exciting. This head-to-head duel format is a different kind of multiplayer from the co-op puzzle-solving of Duo Vikings. The first player to win the majority of the rounds wins the match.

The game is for two players. A random minigame will start. An instruction will appear on screen (e.g., ‘Shoot!’ or ‘Tap to run!’). Use your designated button to try and complete the objective and defeat your opponent. The first player to win enough rounds claims victory.
