About ZeroSpace

ZeroSpace is a hybrid real-time strategy and role-playing game that fuses commander-level decision-making with faction allegiance, launching on PC on July 20, 2026. The game's central premise—that you can pick any faction in a galactic power struggle rather than being locked into a single side—defines how it plays: every campaign begins with a choice of allegiance, and that choice cascades through your strategic options, unit rosters, and narrative path through the war-torn Orion Sector.

The design stacks three systems on top of each other. At the tactical layer, you deploy infantry, artillery, air units, orbital weapons and nuclear strikes across real-time battlefields, making the moment-to-moment gameplay a conventional RTS with orders, positioning and resource management. Above that sits a strategic layer where you build installations, manage crew specialisation and make political choices that reshape your standing and your access to technology. Above that sits the faction system itself, which means your second playthrough with a rival faction completely recontextualises the conflict—enemies become allies, allies become threats, and the narrative weight of the Protectorate's stated mission to secure humanity's galactic future becomes genuinely questionable once you see the galaxy from another faction's perspective.

Scope, Scale and the Multiplayer Question

The tag list flags this as massively multiplayer, but the actual structure—solo, cooperative pairs, and competitive matches—remains unclear. If it truly means persistent server-wide conflicts where thousands of players feed into one shared galactic war, the scope and server architecture become the game's single largest unknown. Whether Starlance and Ironward can keep that data moving without stutters or desynchronisation, and whether player-driven outcomes actually matter or collapse into snowballing superpowers, will determine whether the multiplayer layer feels like genuine geopolitics or a novelty wrapper around traditional skirmishes.

The arsenal variety—mechs, orbital strikes, tactical nukes alongside conventional units—suggests a game built to reward specialisation and counterplay rather than one balanced build. That richness is a draw for players who like metagame depth, but it also raises the stakes for balance. An RTS where one faction's unique unit is even ten percent overpowered can poison months of play for half the player base.

This is a game for players who want their strategy wrapped in narrative consequence and multiplayer stakes, who enjoyed the faction systems in games like StarCraft or the choice mechanics of old Deus Ex, and who will spend time learning a complex tech tree and unit matchups. If you prefer singular, linear campaigns or turn-based precision, this is not your game. Pre-order or wishlist if the faction choice angle genuinely excites you; wait for launch reviews if you need proof that the multiplayer and balance hold up at scale.
