Subway Runner is a vibrant and action-packed 3D endless runner that shares the classic gameplay popularised by the genre. In this unblocked game, you control a character fleeing from a grumpy guard, dashing along subway tracks and on top of trains. It is a game of lightning-fast reflexes, strategic lane changes, and power-up management.
The gameplay of Subway Runner involves swiping to change between three lanes, jumping over barriers, and sliding under obstacles. You must constantly react to the environment, which includes stationary trains, moving trains coming towards you, and various blockades. A key strategy is to stay on top of the trains whenever possible, as it gives you a better view of the track ahead and keeps you safe from many ground-level hazards. This 3D perspective and lane-based movement is very different from the 2D physics of Vex 7. Collecting coins and power-ups like the jetpack or hoverboard is crucial for achieving a high score.
Your character runs forward automatically. Swipe right or left to change lanes. Swipe up to jump and swipe down to slide. Dodge all obstacles and collect coins. If you crash, you can sometimes use a key to continue your run. The goal is to run as far as possible.
Save your hoverboards for when you are traveling at very high speeds. They give you a free hit, which is invaluable when your reaction time is pushed to the limit. When you grab a jetpack, focus solely on collecting coins, as you are invincible. Try to complete the daily and weekly challenges to earn extra coins and keys.

Subway Runner is heavily inspired by and almost identical in gameplay to the famous mobile game Subway Surfers. It brings that same addictive experience to your web browser.
There are several key power-ups. The Jetpack lets you fly above the tracks and collect coins safely. The Super Sneakers let you jump much higher, allowing you to leap onto the top of trains. The Coin Magnet pulls all nearby coins towards you, and the 2X Multiplier doubles your score for a limited time.
Keys are a premium currency. Their main use is to continue your run immediately after you crash. This can be very useful when you are on track to set a new personal best high score.
