While the goal is to blend in as a piece of candy or a tree, the transformation is imperfect. You have to manually paint your camouflage with a brush to hide your feline ears and tail, making your choice of terrain and color matching the difference between survival and capture. The addition of proximity voice chat for seekers and randomized maps prevents players from relying on memorized hiding spots. Because caught cats join the seekers, the pressure ramps up significantly toward the end of every round. It is a high-stakes twist on a casual genre where sitting still is rarely enough.
