Fnf Week 7 is the first major official update to the base Friday Night Funkin’ game, originally released as a Newgrounds exclusive. This unblocked version allows everyone to play the highly anticipated week, featuring the iconic character Tankman. It sets a new standard for FNF with three awesome songs and, for the first time, fully voiced and animated cutscenes.
The gameplay in Week 7 is a polished and perfected version of the classic FNF formula. You face Tankman in three songs of increasing difficulty: ‘Ugh’, ‘Guns’, and ‘Stress’. The key to victory is mastering the unique rhythms of each song and staying focused during the intense final track. A special element is the distraction in ‘Stress’, where Pico appears to help Boyfriend, creating a crossfire of notes. The level of polish and presentation, with its cinematic cutscenes, elevates the experience beyond many fan mods and simple games like Bubbles Cool. It feels like a true evolution of the base game.
From the main menu, select Story Mode and choose Week 7. Watch the introductory cutscene and then begin the first song. As in all FNF games, hit the arrow keys that correspond to the notes on Boyfriend’s side when they align at the top. Beat all three songs to complete the week and see the final cutscene.
In the song ‘Guns’, the rhythm syncs up with Tankman’s vocals. Try saying ‘Ugh’ or ‘Heh’ along with him to internalize the timing. In ‘Stress’, do not get distracted by Pico’s appearance; keep your eyes focused on your side of the screen. ‘Stress’ has some fast and tricky patterns, so do not be afraid to try it on Normal difficulty first.
Use the Arrow Keys or WASD to hit the notes. Press Enter to advance through the cutscene dialogue.
Tankman is the star of the popular ‘TANKMEN’ animated series, created by JohnnyUtah on Newgrounds. He is an iconic character from the platform, and his inclusion in FNF is a tribute to the game’s Newgrounds roots.
Week 7 was the first official new content added to the game in months and was initially exclusive to the Newgrounds website. Its high quality, inclusion of a famous character, and addition of animated cutscenes made it a massive event in the FNF community.
While there are no gameplay-altering mechanics like in some mods, the final song ‘Stress’ features a unique visual event where another character, Pico, joins the battle. This adds to the cinematic feel but does not change the core controls.
